Platform 2c

"THE WORLDS FIRST DIGITAL 3D SOAP OPERA"

Platform 2c is a weekly quirky eclectic soap opera whose story takes place connected to and around people who use and live near Platform 2c in the Yorkshire village of Milford.  Platform 2c is unique in that all episodes are produced in 2D and digital 3D versions. Our first episode went live Sunday August 28th 2011 and we have been producing one ever since. Our format is a mini episode of around 3 mins each week ten of which go to make up a series of around 25/30 mins total playing time which equates to a standard TV soap opera episode. This will develop over time into a daily soap opera. Platform 2c is entirely non profit making and self funded with everyone involved putting in their time for free.

All the actors used in Platform 2c are still learning and as such Platform 2c is an ambitious real TV part of the real world film and TV  training we provide at NFD. We believe showing week by week the huge progress many of our aspiring actors make in Platform 2c is absolutely the right way to go.

We hope you will appreciate Platform 2c for the unique online soap it truly is and enjoy watching the individual journeys of the P2C actors working so hard to get there, in what is now an extremely competitive environment. As you watch P2C actors steadily improve we hope this will serve as inspiration to others wishing to come into acting no matter their ability, background or how early or late in life.

Please support these aspiring actors by spreading the word as the more people that watch them the greater their confidence will grow. Many of the actors in Platform 2c are now just starting to get their first parts on TV so look out for them and remember where you saw them first! Congratulations to P2C actor Colson Smith who now has a regular part in Coronation Street and actor David Turner who also has a part in Coronation Street.
