"Actors"

I was born in Sussex and now live in Leeds. I have trained with NFD and acted as a ‘lead zombie’ on a film called ‘A Father for the Dead’, and also had a lead role in a short film. I am currently appearing in an advert for DFS. I have a small dog that I take everywhere (called Babon), I do French translation part time and am currently writing a novel.

I play Hannah Croft. Hannah is confident and smart, but is only just getting wise to her boyfriend, Shane, playing around. She moved up from London to be with him but is now having serious doubts. Her best friend is Sarah, although Hannah can be quite manipulative and moody, and often doesn’t realise just what a good friend she has.

Billy Conway

I was born in Nostell, West Yorkshire, and I currently live in the hamlet of Kellingley. I was the first of my family not to go down the mines, and after setting up businesses and raising a family I can now focus on my life-long ambition to be an actor. I have trained with NFD and have recently appeared in a short film, I hope the first of many. In my spare time I indulge in my love of motor-vehicles, and take part in ‘banger-racing’ competitions!

I play Billy ‘Conk’ Concus. Billy is a ‘wheeler dealer’, and grew up on a rough council estate. Billy is rough and ready with no airs and graces, he doesn’t care about rules or laws. He is also a loving father to Allie, Brit and Adam.

David Turner

I was born in Barnsley and live in Wakefield. I started acting at my local theatre group, and have progressed to supporting parts on programmes like Coronation Street (including the ‘live’ episode), Emmerdale, A Touch of Frost and DCI Banks. I am a former Yorkshire County Champion Triathlete and have represented Barnsley in Karate. I also speak Spanish.

I play the detective sergeant Alan Devlin. Alan is manipulative, feared and corrupt, however he always gets the job done. He is an old friend of the character ‘Conk’, and they often collaborate on various dodgy dealings! Alan is also in the process of corrupting the young and naïve police officer Adam. Alan is a heavy drinker, divorced with no children.

Adam Carter

I was born and raised in Sheffield, and still call Sheffield home. I’ve been acting for a around a year, and have appeared in Meadow hall TV and corporate videos for M & S, also featured in a few short films. I love running and have just completed the Sheffield 10krun and the Sheffield and Hull half marathons. I’m a lifelong Sheffield United fan and love anything that gets my adrenaline going.

My characters name is Joe Lomas, a police officer. Joe is an honest man who was inspired to join the police force by his father, a high-ranking officer. In Joe’s mind, the police are right and the criminals are wrong, but this line is constantly blurred by Dave’s character, a ‘dirty cop’. I’m also happily loved up with my girlfriend Sarah, but she is worried about my relationship with Dave’s character. Will Dave influence Joe to stray across the line to corruption?

Greg King

I was born and raised in Leeds, and now live in Holbeck. I've been training with NFD for around 8 months, and recently played the role of a bar man in their short film 'The Proposal'. I admire actors like Denzel Washington and Vinnie Jones, and I love boxing and spending time in the gym.

I play the character of Shane. Shane's girlfriend is Hannah, but Shane doesn't really make an effort with her, which leads her to think that he's playing around. My character spends a lot of time in the gym, and may or may not be involved in shady dealings with the character Beth!

Actor Biography

I was born and raised in Yorkshire, and spent my early teens attending local performing arts classes, performing on a stage production at Opera North and at performing arts festivals. I joined the Army at 18, and was fortunate enough to travel the world. When I left the army I worked as a military extra in Morocco on a Paramount Pictures film, The Four Feathers Morocco. I began my TV and film acting lessons with NFD in 2009. Since then, I have appeared in a CSL commercial, in crime documentaries for the discovery channel, and several independent short films. 

Character Biography

I play Paul Hancock, he's loud, gay and proud! Paul works as a beauty therapist in the local nail bar and beauty salon. Paul's a real gossip & everyone confides in him - what he doesn't know about people isn't worth knowing. He's a kind hearted person, looking for Mr Right but finds himself "putting it about" a lot and never finding that special person! He likes to tell his regulars about his 'liaisons', but deep down he's getting lonely, and maybe, just maybe he's hiding a secret...

 

Actor Biography

I was born in Essex and moved to Leeds when I was seven. I did a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Harrogate College and graduated from Staffordshire University last year with BA Honours in Drama, Performance and Theatre Arts. My credits include a sketch show ‘This Is Not Medicine’, the short films ‘Trepidation’, ‘We're Not Superheroes’ and ‘Summer and Winters’, and several plays ‘Attempts On Her Life’ and ‘Our Country's Good’.

Character Biography

I play Natalie Power. Natalie is a white witch and is into crystal and spiritual healing. Natalie works at Paul’s Nail Bar and is good friends with the character Paul. Natalie is kind-hearted and always has good intentions, even if sometimes she is misunderstood!

I play AdaMy dad is Billy who is a ‘wheeler dealer’. My half sisters are Allie and Brit. My Mum left Billy years ago but dumps me on him when it suits her.

 Sam Goodison

I was born in Yorkshire and reside in Leeds. I have 4 gorgeous boys and am the owner of a Lingerie business with my Mum. Sporty, honest, out going and a true friend - life is not a rehearsal. I am currently a student with NFD and have decided that its now or never for me to explore my dream of acting. Previously I've dabbled - now it's serious!

I play Pippa Greenwood. A local reporter currently avoiding the Slick city lights of London with it's lies & pitfalls. A feisty, attractive, fashionable and gritty woman who knows who she is and what she wants - does she, does anyone! Perceptive & like a Rottweiler when it comes to a story.

Bryan Samson

Having spent my first 40 years in Leeds I gradually moved slightly further north and have lived for the past 25 years between Harrogate and York. An interest in the theatre since the age of 10 led eventually to taking part in many amateur theatrical productions, in my 40’s and then a hiatus until I was asked to play a small part in the film Innocent Crimes, which gave me the desire to follow in the steps of my actress daughter, and was quickly followed by a featured extra part in the first of Guy Richie's ‘Sherlock Holmes films. A desire to improve my Film and TV techniques led me to NFD, and along with golf, cricket, football and rugby will keep me fully occupied.

I play Lord Grant, the current Lord of the Manor of Milford. Although somewhat eccentric, he has played his part in the family banking business, and has a reputation for being something of a playboy. Now widowed, he has recently discovered that Billy Concus may be his illegitimate son from a liaison with one of the female servants at the family home in his youth.

Carl Byrne

I was born and raised in Castleford. I have done various school plays but it was nothing major. After leaving college I found the inspiration to start acting again and make it my life's goal. This led me to NFD where I have been training since September 2011 so I can further my acting skills and techniques.  

·         I play Harry Ferguson who still lives with his parents in Milford. Harry is an only child. Studied sports psychology at College, Currently unemployed – No interest in getting a job as he is comfortably living of the wealth of his parents. Harry is a very easy going person but can be a snob at times. He hangs around with his friends most of the time who like to play practical jokes on each other and is a keen member of an archaeological society.

Mica Proctor

 I play Mica Barker who still lives with her parents in Milford. Very friendly with Harry and Natalie and a member of the archaeological society largely because Harry is. Hoping Harry might show some interest in me but he hasn't so far.

David Leach

I play Lord Grant's son David who is desperately trying to keep the estate and family home in the black while my farther seems to spend most of his time trying to get us into the red again with stupid money making ideas all of which fail. Despite being busy with the estate I have a busy social life.
